LET'S PLAY ARMAGEDDON

In 2004, MEAR ONE joined Shepard Fairey and Robbie Conal to organize "Be the Revolution," a nationwide guerrilla poster art campaign targeting the Bush administration's escalation of the Iraq War and the political and corporate corruption surrounding it. Let's Play Armageddon was MEAR ONE's contribution — a satirical image that has since become one of his most recognized works. As the sole graffiti artist in the collaboration, his participation marked a notable crossover in the 2000s street art scene, bringing graffiti's outlaw tradition into direct alignment with organized political poster art.
