This work brings memetic imagery into direct contact with classical painting, using oil on Bitaxe 403 hashboards to collapse the distance between digital culture and material tradition. Marcheschi is a significant force within the bitcoin art scene and a principal contributor to BMAG’s growing museum collection. He was BMAG’s 2025 Artist-in-Residence and has played a foundational role in shaping BMAG into a lasting institution with a physical home for its collection.
