The PEPEOLD... triptych is from 2017. Three cards, each 1/100, each from the original Rare Pepe directory on the Bitcoin blockchain. MrHansel mounted the physical prints in acrylic Ultimate Guards and custom framed them. The piece has been shown at exhibitions around the world. The auction winner receives the framed display and verified digital ownership of all three cards. PEPEOLDCHAP, PEPEOLDDAME, and PEPEOLDGUARD were made at the moment when Rare Pepe was finding its form as a serious art project rather than a meme experiment. MrHansel understood what was happening early and made work that holds up across the distance. This is a provenance piece. It connects 2017 to now, physical to digital, card to chain. The frame has been on gallery walls. It belongs on another one.
