Rare Pepe Archive 04
Rare Pepe Archive #04 You are bidding on No.4 of currently five INFOKEK archives to secure the cultural heritage of Rare Pepe for 500 years without any electricity dependency. This is for now the last archive auctioned on the primary. The entire Rare Pepe collection, 1774 artworks, on a 2 meter long continuous piece of Ilford color microfilm. Packaged in a metal box containing a hand magnifying glass and a secret note from agent F. The physical comes with a unique 1/1 INFOKEK.RPA04 sub asset and an INFOKEK bitcoin stamp. The archive was compiled using 3 referential resources, rarepepedirectory.com, pepe.wtf and 1774 book. Issuances reflect burns and destructions snapshot from March 2023. The last frame contains an alphabetical index to easily find cards by name. It’s currently not possible to create more archives beyond the five currently existing. The sole manufacturer of color microfilm worldwide we are aware of has paused business due to health issues. It’s unclear if production to complete the intended edition of 21 archives can be resumed or if the edition will remain at five forever. All rights tied to the arts remain with the Rare Pepe artists.

The entire Rare Pepe collection. 1774 artworks. On a two meter continuous strip of Ilford color microfilm. Packaged in metal with a hand magnifying glass and a note from agent F. Designed to survive 500 years without electricity. This is Archive 04 — the last one auctioned on the primary market. FWD built the INFOKEK archive project as an act of preservation at the moment when the ten-year history of Rare Pepe was becoming something that needed preserving. The microfilm format is not nostalgic. It is the most durable physical medium available. The choice says something about how seriously the archive takes its own mandate. The lot includes the physical archive and a 1/1 INFOKEK.RPA04 sub-asset on Counterparty. The chain and the film together. Neither is sufficient alone.
Microfilm, magnifying glass, foam, paper, metal. 7 x 7 x 1.77 inches. 0.6 lbs.
