In THE DREAMER, Pepenardo brings together the language of medieval fantasy and market psychology in a single red-armored figure. The color carries a double charge: warmth, sacrifice, and bodily intensity on one hand; loss, decline, and financial pressure on the other. The knight’s slouched, seated angle quietly echoes the downward slope of a falling market chart, giving the work an undertow of fatigue, drift, and decline without collapsing it into a single reading. Like THE DREAMLESS, the painting rewards close looking, with light moving across the armor to deepen its physical presence and emotional weight. A significant presence in Bitcoin Conference exhibitions since 2023, Pepenardo has become one of the defining artists of BMAG’s memetic painting program. His The Citadel (2025), the highest-selling artwork from B25 Las Vegas, is now re-exhibited as part of Memetikron, the exhibition continuing from Nashville to Las Vegas.
