Curatorial Commentary

BANNER is word 147 of the BIP-39 mnemonic wordlist. It is also, in the most literal sense, what this piece is: a printed polyester banner made for Bitcoin Conference Las Vegas 2026. ZETRA collapsed the conceptual and the physical into a single object. The word that refers to a flag is itself a flag. The BIP39 SERIES has been building toward a moment like this. Each edition in the series takes one of 2048 cryptographically necessary words and asks what it would mean to hold it, hang it, own it as an object. BANNER makes that question unavoidable.
